Unione dei Desideri
The project consists of taking photographs of migrants, those who have moved to live in Bologna, and photographing them under the bolognese arcades, a characteristic symbol of Bologna, which are one of the main places where people meet and pass others of different backgrounds in the city. These photographs would then be printed onto panels of plexiglas in the shape of a jigsaw piece and will be placed in the places where the photograph was taken.
Re-find
(winner!)
Re-find started within the hands of Emilia and Rosaria, upcyclers with a passion for fashion and a love for nature. With recuperated materials they create original accessories, which are also of an unmistakable character, eco-sustainable and 100% Made in Italy. The Re-find objects are completely one of a kind, because they are all handmade and created with waste material, for example they work especially with coffee bags as they are made of a non-recyclable material. Re-find would like to participate at Open Design Italia (10-12 June 2016) in Vicenza. Their participation at this event could result in an important increase in their production and in return, would have a lasting consequence on reducing the volume of unrecyclable materials which would otherwise finish in the bin, and therefore the city of Bologna would produce less waste in general.
Social Short Film
Social Short Film is a Cultural Association that aims to produce short films which have a social theme, aiming to provoke certain emotions within the spectator, on which they must reflect. Their first film that they would love to bring to a finish is a short film called “Mangio Troppo Silenzio” (I eat too much silence), a film raising awareness about eating disorders.
Sharazàd
An emerging Dance Theatre company, made up of 7 dancers and 1 musician, started within the Cultural Association Sharazàd, based in Bologna in Via Mascarella 12. The members of the group all have various backgrounds (dance, theatre, music, visual arts) but have the common goal of elevating their work which has developed during the course to a professional level and aim to promote their show for the year 2016/2017 in the area of Bologna and Emilia Romagna. A show which is still in its development stage, a piece deriving from body training, oriented towards research and experimentation that derive their source from different methodological aesthetic traditions and different ways of working.
Porto dell'Arte
The aim of the project is that to promote young artists through exhibitions in a private apartment. There are already several existing events which focus on exhibiting art in various apartments, but they usually correspond to artistic and inhabited places that often resemble art galleries. Sales are not made during the exhibitions that we will organise and we differ in how we organise the event in an inhabited place, i.e a home. We are not referring to an “artist’s residence”, but a real crossing of private lives, the lives of the inhabitants of the house with the artists, who will be confronted with a strongly characteristic space that will be constantly changing. The first exhibition: 9-12 June 2016.
